Job summary

Boughey Distribution is recruiting a Class 1 Driver for a permanent role based at the Swizzels site in New Mills. You will perform vehicle checks and ensure safe, on-time deliveries across Cheshire and nearby areas.

The role offers a rolling 5 days on, 3 days off pattern with a pay rate of £18.50 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package as part of Boughey's team.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card with knowledge of driver hours rules.
• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at shift start and end.
• Deliver goods safely and promptly across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading and yard duties as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a Class 1 Driver to join Boughey on a permanent contract working out of the Swizzels site in New Mills. Shift pattern will be a 5 days on 3 days off rolling pattern at £18.50 per hour!

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying with all HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• A valid category C&E license is essential
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
