Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Class 1 Driver in Milton Keynes for long-term trunk driving opportunities. This position requires handling parcel/bulk loads, vehicle checks, and maintaining tachograph records while meeting client standards and receiving coaching. Weekend availability is essential for this 24/7 operation.

Shifts are Monday–Friday with various start times; the role offers on-site parking and ongoing work, with pay rates ranging from £20.49 to £41.55 per hour including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Class 1 handling.
• 6 months Class 1 licence and 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum 6 penalty points for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Parcel and mail bulk loads.
• Conduct vehicle checks and maintain tachograph records.
• Drive according to client standards and receive coaching.
• Adhere to Working Time Directive and driving hours regulations to stay compliant.
• Represent the brand professionally when arriving at stores.

Location: Milton Keynes, MK17 8FF

Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year-round stability)

Earnings: From £20.49ph up to £41.55ph

Role & Responsibilities :

• Parcel & Mail Bulk Loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

• Monday to Friday
• Afternoon shifts available, start times between 12:00 – 20:00
• Ongoing & Full Time & Part Time Opportunities

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months months Class 1 driving experience
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
