Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Class 1 Trunk Driver in Milton Keynes for ongoing, long-term work. The role offers a flexible mix of full-time and part-time shifts with afternoon starts and onsite parking.

Requirements include a valid UK Class 1 licence, CPC, Digi Card, and up to 6 penalty points. Weekend availability is essential for this 24/7 operation, with ongoing bookings and strong customer service expected.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Digi Card, CPC) and a Class 1 licence.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 vehicles following client standards.
• Conduct vehicle checks and maintain tachograph records.
• Navigate routes efficiently while upholding safety procedures.
• Adhere to Working Time Directive and driving hour rules.
• Provide professional front-line service when arriving at stores.

Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year-round stability)

Earnings: From £20.49ph up to £41.55ph

Join Gi Group supporting our client based in Milton Keynes, as a Class 1 Trunk Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Parcel & Mail Bulk Loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

• Monday to Friday
• Afternoon shifts available, start times between 12:00 - 20:00
• Ongoing & Full Time & Part Time Opportunities

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months months Class 1 driving experience
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
