Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is helping a Southampton-based logistics client (SO40) to recruit HGV Class 1 Container Drivers. The role involves trunk runs delivering and collecting containers with loads secured safely and no manual handling required.

We offer day and night shifts with pay rates of £17.00–£19.00 per hour, plus overtime—1.5x after 40 hours and on weekends, with 2x on bank holidays. Adhoc and potential ongoing full-time work available.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E (Class 1) license held
• In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Reliability and a positive work ethic
• Ability to deliver safely and in a timely manner
• Induction/Assessment required before first assignment
• Container transport experience preferred but not essential

About the Role

This is an opportunity to work with an established container distribution client based near the ports in Southampton! Your role as a Class 1 Driver would be transporting and collecting containers on a Trunk run basis! This role involves no manual handling, but it is essential that loads are secured safely.

Salary

• HGV Class 1 Container Driver (Days) - £17.00 per hour.
• HGV Class 1 Container Driver (Nights)- £19.00 per hour.
• 1.5x after 40 hours, 1.5x on weekends, 2x on Bank holidays.
