Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a leading UK logistics provider based in Allington. Fantastic earning potential with on-going, full-time work and long shifts. Starts are immediate after assessment.

Shifts typically run 04:00–16:00, 12-hour days, with guaranteed minimum pay and overtime after 42.5 hours. Benefits include attendance bonus, pension, and flexible pay options.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card (DQC).
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, CD or IN endorsements).
• The right to work in the UK.
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused attitude.
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) curtain-sided vehicles.
• Completing scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Securing loads using straps where required.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
• Completing all relevant transport documentation accurately.

Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of a leading blue-chip logistics provider based in Allington. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation offering consistent hours, modern vehicles, and outstanding earning potential.

• £19.05 per hour (04:00 – 16:00)
• Overtime after 42.5 hours: £25.34 per hour
• £20 weekly attendance bonus

Shift Information

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
• Average 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 8 hours' guaranteed pay per shift
• Ongoing, full-time work with consistent hours
• Two days of paid training before your first shift

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll be working on a well-established logistics contract, operating modern curtain-sided vehicles and delivering a professional, reliable service to regular customers.

This role involves a mixture of deliveries and collections, with some load securing and strapping required. You'll be working with planned routes and regular delivery points, allowing you to build familiarity with your workload.
