Job summary

The Best Connection Group is hiring an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for ongoing trunking work from Hythe, Kent to the Midlands. You will frequently travel to Solihull, Derby and Coventry, with occasional drops depending on routes.

This role requires curtain-side experience and CMR documentation know-how. Expect regular long-distance trunking across routes with daily vehicle checks and strict adherence to Driver Hours rules.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Curtain-side experience is essential; CMR documentation experience is essential.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Trunking from Hythe to the Midlands.

HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)

Location: Hythe, Kent

Pay: £16.25ph - £17ph with accrued holiday, £20ph - £21ph including holiday

Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing

Shift Length: 10-15 hours

We are currently recruiting an experience HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for ongoing work with our established client based in Hythe, Kent. This is an ongoing opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for regular long-distance trunking work. Routes primarily cover the Midlands, including Solihull, Derby and Coventry. The majority of the work is trunking, with occasional delivery drops depending on the route.Previous Class 1 driving experience, curtain-side experience and CMR documentation experience are essential.

The Role

• HGV Class 1 trunking from Hythe to the Midlands.
• Regular routes to Solihull, Derby and Coventry.
• Predominantly trunking with occasional delivery drops.
• Operating curtain-sided trailers.
• Completing CMRs and associated transport documentation.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Working within Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.

Requirements

Hours & Pay
