Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for ongoing, full-time trunking work based in Hythe, Kent. Immediate starts available with Monday–Friday shifts and 10–15 hour days.

Routes focus on the Midlands (Solihull, Derby, Coventry) with regular trunking and occasional drops. Applicants must have curtain-side experience, CMRS documentation experience, CPC, and Tachograph Card, and comply with Driver Hours laws.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Curtain-side experience required.
• CMR documentation experience required.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• HGV Class 1 trunking from Hythe to the Midlands.
• Regular routes to Solihull, Derby and Coventry.
• Operate curtain-sided trailers and complete CMRs.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Adhere to Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Provide professional service at all times.
