Job summary

Pollock Scotrans Ltd is hiring Class 1 drivers for a 4 on/4 off schedule at Eurocentral. Start on days with a competitive hourly rate (£17.42) plus a £2.75 night premium for hours from 21:00 to 04:00. Roles involve curtain-sider deliveries, load security, and routine vehicle checks.

You will cover routes from East Kilbride to local RDCs and wholesalers, with shunting at the site and flexible assignments as needed. Benefits include ongoing DCPC training, modern fleet, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver with Confidence: operate a curtain-sided trailer to palletise goods safely.
• Load Security: ensure goods are strapped and secured to prevent movement or damage.
• Safety First: complete daily vehicle checks using company mobile to keep vehicles compliant.
• Stay Connected: maintain clear communication with transport team to meet customer expectations.
• Continuous Improvement: take part in regular training on industry standards, safety and compliance.

Are you passionate about delivering excellence on the road? We're looking for dedicated and skilled HGV drivers to join our team. As a key member of our transport operation, you will ensure goods are delivered safely, professionally and on time.

Fantastic Earning Potential

Start your shift with a solid £17.42 per hour and increase your earnings with a £2.75 per hour night premium for all hours worked between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs

Driver Friendly Shift Options

Enjoy a predictable 4 on / 4 off rota, giving you stability and a healthy work life balance.

Day shifts start between 05:00hrs - 07:00hrs, while night shifts begin between 17:00hrs - 19:00hrs, offering great work life balance.

What You'll Do

• Deliver with Confidence: Operate a curtain-sided trailer to deliver palletised goods safely and efficiently.
• Load Security: Ensure all goods are safely strapped and secured to prevent movement or damage.
• Safety First: Complete daily vehicle checks using your company mobile to keep vehicles compliant and road ready.

Routes That You'll Enjoy Behind The Wheel

As a Class 1 Driver, you will cover the following routes as part of the operation:

• Dayshift Deliveries: Collecting loads from our customer site in East Kilbride and delivering to local RDCs and wholesalers.
• Nightshift Deliveries: Carry out shunting at our customer site in East Kilbride as well as delivering loads in to local RDCs.
• Flexibility When It Matters: As part of delivering for our customers, routes may be adjusted at short notice to meet contract and operational requirements.
