Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a busy operation based in Abergavenny. You will drive Class 1 vehicles on scheduled deliveries and collections, with flatbed experience desirable and loads secured safely.

Weekly pay, Monday to Friday shifts starting between 05:00 and 07:00, with 10–12 hour shifts available. This is an excellent opportunity for steady weekday work with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence is required.
• CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Flatbed experience desirable including load securing.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles on scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Operate flatbed trailers and securely strap loads.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional service at delivery locations.
• Adhere to Driver Hours and Road Transport regulations.

HGV Class 1 Driver wanted in Abergavenny, paying £17.00- £19.05per hour to work Monday to Friday with starts between 05:00-07:00. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for regular ongoing work and consistent hours.

Your Duties:

• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing a professional service to customers at delivery locations
• Ensuring compliance with all Driver Hours and Road Transport regulations

Requirements:

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Previous flatbed experience desirable
• Confident strapping and securing loads
• Good understanding of Driver Hours regulations
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Excellent time management skills
