Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial is seeking a CLASS 1 DRIVER for full-time, ongoing work in Abergavenny. Earn £17.00–£19.05 per hour with Monday–Friday shifts starting between 05:00 and 07:00. Drive flatbed trailers, secure cargo, and perform daily vehicle checks while handling routine paperwork.

The role requires valid UK Category C+E licence, CPC and tachograph card, and at least 6 months of Class 1 experience. Flatbed experience is a plus, with regular ongoing work and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 Months HGV Class 1 Driving Experience.
• Flatbed experience desirable.
• Confident strapping and securing loads.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles on scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Operating flatbed trailers safely and efficiently.
• Strapping and unstrapping loads to ensure safe transportation.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing a professional service to customers at delivery locations.
• Ensuring compliance with all Driver Hours and Road Transport regulations.
