Job summary

GXO Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Class 1 Driver for a full-time, permanent role. You’ll work 48 hours per week on a 9.6 hour shift pattern, Monday to Friday, delivering to GXO depots. £40,865.26 annual salary and a range of benefits are provided.

Ideal candidates hold a full EU C+E licence, Driver CPC, and a tachograph card. You must have no more than six penalty points and no minor endorsements within the past five years.

Qualifications

• A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 current penalty points and no disqualifying endorsements in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries to GXO depots Mossend, Bristol and Harlow.
• Load and unload the vehicle as required.
• Perform safety checks and ensure paperwork is complete on time.
• Communicate with transport office regarding delays or changes.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Carry out deliveries to various GXO depots Mossend, Bristol and Harlow
• Routes can vary depending on start time
• Maybe involved in loading and unloading the vehicle/trailer
• Manual Handling
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays, issues, or changes during journeys and that all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and on time
• Guarantee the safe and legal operation of HGV vehicles at all times, complete safety checks before leaving site and on return to site

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
