Job summary

GXO Logistics in Birmingham is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. The role operates on an “any 5 days from 7” pattern with start times from 03:00 to 07:00, contracted to 45 hours per week.

Salary is £36,459.00 per annum, with up to £480 monthly bonus, plus overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by always being polite and courteous.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 days from 7’ pattern, with start time window of 03:00 to 07:00, contracted to 45 hours per week.
