Job summary

Driver Hire Gatwick is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work from our Crawley depot, supporting clients across the South and Midlands. The role offers variety, flexibility, and competitive pay for ongoing or flexible work.

Delivering palletised freight across the South of England with general haulage duties, start times 07:00–08:00, and a focus on safety. Daily vehicle checks and driver-hours compliance are required; PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC/Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and clean driving record.
• Ability to load/unload and secure loads safely.
• Must wear PPE: Hi-Vis and Safety Boots on site.

Responsibilities

• Delivering palletised freight across the South of England.
• Carrying out general haulage duties as required.
• Starting times between 07:00–08:00.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks per Health & Safety guidelines.
• Adhering to driver hours and road-safety regulations.
• Safely loading and unloading goods.

Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work from our client's Crawley depot, supporting a number of prestigious and well-established clients up to Midlands.

This role offers variety, flexibility, and competitive pay, making it ideal for competent and qualified drivers looking for ongoing or flexible work where no two days are the same.

The Role

• Delivering palletised freight across the South of England
• General haulage duties
• Start times between 07:00-08:00 PM
• Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations
• Safe loading and unloading of goods

About You

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C+E) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT)
• Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
• Comfortable ensuring loads are secure at all times
• PPE required: Hi-Vis and Safety Boots
• Own transport required to commute to and from the depot
• Must comply with all on-site health and safety procedures
