Job summary

Swift Temps in Dunstable is seeking Class 1 Drivers to perform deliveries and collections across Dunstable, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas on a Monday to Friday basis. Start times are 7am or 9am, with regular hours and onsite parking for staff.

Temp to perm opportunities exist for suitable candidates, and the role prioritises clear communication with dispatchers and clients, plus strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence (C+E)
• Current CPC and digital driving card
• Clean Driving Licence and at least 12 months HGV driving experience
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit (handball)
• Collection and delivery of goods to the required location
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
