Job summary

Driver Hire Warrington is actively recruiting for Class 1 HGV drivers to fill immediate vacancies across a network of builders merchants and hauliers. Roles welcome drivers with varying levels of experience and offer freedom to choose shifts on a week-by-week basis.

Typical duties include starting around 07:00, conducting pre- and post-shift checks, ensuring loads are strapped, and delivering to businesses and sites while maintaining accurate paperwork and courteous customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with category CE entitlement or above.
• Valid CPC & digi-tacho cards.
• No DR, IN or TT related conviction codes on your licence.
• The ability to work independently in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Commence work at around 07:00 each morning
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, before & after each shift
• Ensure every delivery load is strapped securely
• Distribute goods to businesses & construction sites
• Complete roughly 4-6 deliveries per day
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed correctly
• Interact with customers in a friendly & respectful manner

Education

Full UK licence with CE entitlement or above

Valid CPC & digi-tacho cards

£17.37 - £18.49 per hour

Driver Hire are currently looking for a number of class 1 HGV drivers. Regardless of your level of experience, we have class 1 HGV driving roles available immediately.

As the nations number 1 provider of logistics staff, we have a wide range of positions readily available, working with a variety of builders merchants & hauliers, who are all well established businesses within the transport industry.

We will support you with your tachograph and gain you experience in HGV vehicles, to get you confident in your new career.

Working with an agency who values you as an integral member of the team, you will be given complete freedom to choose which days you wish to work on a week by week basis.

Whilst working as a class 1 HGV driver with us, you will typically be expected to:
