Job summary

Ignition is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers to work in Goole with a well known supermarket retailer. You will handle store deliveries, trunking and cage work in curtain siders and box trailers, performing routine vehicle checks and maintaining paperwork.

Requirements include a Class 1 licence with at least 6 months of experience, a valid UK DCPC and Digi-tacho card. Some weekend work and varied shifts across 24 hours are possible; locations and rota are guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence required and 6 months driving experience essential.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are mandatory.
• Candidates with up to 6 points may be considered; certain endorsements are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicle for store deliveries and trunking.
• Deliver temperature controlled goods and complete paperwork.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report issues.

Working Hours

Our client offers a variety of shifts including part time, full time and adhoc. Please bear in mind some weekend work may also be required.

About you

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience in commercial driving. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements. You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
