Job summary

Driver Hire Carlisle is recruiting for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (Cat CE) for TEMP-PERM with our well known client in the Carlisle area. This is a great opportunity for a driver seeking steady, ongoing work leading to a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Shifts start at 06:00 or 18:00, with overtime after 8 hours and a typical 10–12 hour day. Immediate starts available; you will represent both the client and Driver Hire Carlisle professionally.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Category CE (Class 1) entitlement.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong understanding of site safety and procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicle on RDC runs to supermarkets.
• Handballing on some sites as required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and inspections.
• Immediate start with professional representation of both client and Driver Hire Carlisle.
• Potential Temp-perm after 12 weeks.

DAYS , TRAMPING AND NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE

The role involves operating a HGV Class 1 vehicle , doing RDC runs to various supermarkets . Handballing on some sites will be required

The Role for a HGV Driver:

• DAYS 06:00AM Start
