Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Bedford is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our growing team, transporting telehandlers and plant across designated sites.

The role requires a valid Class 1 licence, CPC, DIGI card, NPORS, and excellent customer service. You will perform daily vehicle checks, maintain records, and liaise with customers to ensure timely, safe handovers.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+CE licence.
• DIGI card (digital tachograph) present.
• NPORS card for plant knowledge.
• CPC certificate up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 HGV to deliver/collect telehandlers across sites.
• Ensure loads are securely strapped and unloaded in line with safety regs.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
• Liaise with customers and site personnel for smooth handovers.
• Complete delivery and collection documentation accurately.

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our growing team based in Bedford. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of telehandlers and other plant, ensuring timely deliveries while upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service. Class 1 Driver Job Overview

Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles to deliver and collect telehandlers and various types of plant machinery across designated sites.

Ensure all loads are securely and safely strapped, loaded, and unloaded in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance reporting to ensure roadworthiness and prevent downtime.

Liaise with customers and site personnel to ensure smooth, timely, and professional equipment handovers.

Complete delivery and collection documentation accurately and maintain clear records in line with company procedures.

Class 1 Driver Job Requirements

• Experience in a similar position.
• Good time keeping skills and self-motivated.
• Driver DIGI Card.
• LGV Licence category C + CE.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• The ability to speak and write a good standard of English.
• Demonstrate a full and varied knowledge of all plant.
• In possession of a full, valid Driving Licence with no more than 3 points.
• NPORS Card.
• An update to date CPC record (evidence will need to be provided).

Class 1 Driver Salary & Benefits

• Salary of £45,918
• Overtime paid at time and a quarter.
