Job summary

Pertemps Basingstoke is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to work for a world‑leading distribution company based in Basingstoke. The role is temp to perm with various shift times, including weekends, and starts between 3am and 7:00pm.

You will deliver stock to retail stores, operate tail lifts and pallet trucks, and complete delivery documentation while adhering to tachograph and working time rules. Overtime after eight hours and weekend rates apply.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• HGV Class 1 Licence with 6 months experience.
• CPC card and Digital Tacho Card presence required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stock to retail stores in a timely and safe manner.
• Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks when required.
• Accurately complete all delivery documentation.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with team members.
• Comply with all driving regulations, including tachograph and working time rules.

Pertemps are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to work on behalf of a world-leading distribution company based in Basingstoke.

We are seeking reliable, motivated, and hardworking drivers who can follow a structured delivery schedule and delivering great customer service at each location.

Overview of the role

• Temp to perm role
• Various shift times - including weekend work
• Start times between 3am and 7:00pm
• Overtime after 8 hours and weekend hourly rate of £25.56 an hour
• Deliver stock to retail stores in a timely and safe manner
• Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks when required
• Accurately complete all delivery documentation
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
• Maintain a positive working relationship with team members
• Comply with all driving regulations, including tachograph and working time rules

Requirements for this Class 1 HGV Role
