Job summary

Turners Distribution is seeking Container Drivers to join our Birmingham depot. Shifts include day, night and weekend options with a focus on flexible start/finish times in line with Tachograph rules.

Applicants should hold a full HGV Class 1 licence with CPC and Tacho Card, plus good English skills. Container experience is preferred; training and support are provided in a welcoming team.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 1 year (preferred).
• Driver CPC and Tacho Card holder.
• 35 hours CPC required.

Responsibilities

• Drive container vehicles to and from Birmingham depot.
• Adhere to Tachograph and Working Time regulations at all times.
• Provide professional customer service and reliable delivery/collection services.

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit Container Drivers to be based at our Birmingham depot.Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday pattern with Weekend shifts also available, we are also seeking Nightshift Drivers.As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. We have day, tramping and weekends available (Shift patterns vary from depot to depot). Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Occasional nights out maybe required for day drivers due to unforeseen circumstances.As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members.
