Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd in Hereford is seeking a Class 1 casual driver to collect and deliver customers' products across the UK. You will operate a curtain-sided trailer, practice load security, and use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork efficiently.

This zero-hour contract offers weekend uplift and the chance to gain nights-away experience. You’ll join a team that values reliability, professional driving standards, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence.
• Have a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work under deadlines and stay compliant with regulations.
• Be confident, polite and a collaborative team member with good geography knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver customers' products across the UK on a curtain-sided trailer.
• Ensure load security using ratchet straps and follow manual handling guidelines.
• Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain contact with the transport team and provide progress updates.
• Occasional nights away as part of the role and participate in training.
