Job summary

Woodside Logistics Group in Thorne is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver Enclosed Car Transporter Operator to join the Motorfreight team, operating throughout Great Britain. You will drive safely, present vehicles to customers and manage full handover including explanations of controls and features.

The role offers defined pay rates, full training, and progression opportunities. Applicants should hold a Class 1 licence, CPC, tachograph card and have driving experience with compliance focus.

Qualifications

• HGV Class C&E (Class 1) licence holder.
• Digital tachograph card and CPC qualification card.
• Minimum 1 year CE driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient and responsible driving of Company vehicle.
• Presentation of vehicle to customer and completion of full handover.
• Delivery documents on electronic platforms using tablets or smartphones.

Skills

What are we looking for?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver & Car enthusiast to join our specialist Motorfreight division at Thorne operating throughout Great Britain.

Rate of pay:

Basic (50 hrs / week) £17.00

Overtime 1 (Mon-Fri) £18.49

Overtime 2 (Sat) £22.31

Overtime 3 (Sun & PH) £22.31

Night Away Allowance £28.00

Essential Criteria:

• Clean license preferable but up to a maximum 6 points is acceptable.
• Able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations.

Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience working within the automotive industry.

Training:

Full training on transporter equipment and all aspects of the role is provided on a one-on-one basis with one of our Driver Trainers.
