Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence held and valid.
• Digital tachograph card where applicable and tachograph rules understood.
• Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving legislation.
• Experience driving HGV vehicles with emphasis on safe, efficient driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles in a safe and compliant manner.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across routes.
• Carry out pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow tachograph and working time regulations.
• Secure loads correctly and maintain safe driving standards.
• Provide professional service to customers with clear communication.
• Maintain records and paperwork in line with company and legal requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety, site rules and traffic management procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles in a safe and compliant manner.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across assigned routes.
• Ensure vehicles are checked before and after journeys, reporting any defects promptly.
• Follow all relevant driving regulations, including tachograph and working time requirements.
• Secure loads correctly and maintain safe driving standards at all times.
• Provide a professional service to customers, keeping communication clear and timely.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork in line with company and legal requirements.
• Adhere to company policies, including health and safety, site rules, and traffic management procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV licence(s) for Class 1 and/or Class 2 driving.
• Valid digital tachograph card (where applicable) and strong understanding of tachograph rules.
• Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving legislation.
• Experience driving HGV vehicles with a strong focus on safe, efficient driving.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain accurate documentation.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work to schedules reliably.
• Comfortable working in a physically active role, including loading/unloading support where required.
