Job summary

Biffa Waste Services in Bury is seeking an experienced Class 1 ADR Driver to safely transport hazardous goods and complete on-time deliveries and collections. You will perform vehicle checks, complete paperwork, and secure loads according to ADR rules.

Mon-Fri, 45 hours per week with overtime available; immediate starts. Must hold LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and ADR qualification.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Hold a valid ADR qualification covering relevant dangerous goods classes.
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Strong awareness of transporting hazardous/dangerous goods.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Class 1 ADR Driver

Hourly rate: £19.10

Monday to Friday (45 hours per week/Overtime available)

An ADR Driver is responsible for safely transporting and collecting hazardous or dangerous goods in line with ADR regulations and company procedures. The role also involves carrying out vehicle checks, completing required paperwork, securing loads safely and ensuring all collections and deliveries are completed safely and on time.
