Job summary

At Biffa Group in Welham Green, we are hiring LGV Class 2 drivers for immediate starts. You will transport ADR/hazardous waste, perform daily vehicle checks and ensure safe loading and unloading in accordance with company procedures.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, with overtime available. Start times begin at 06:00. Competitive hourly rate (£17.14) plus SE allowance (£113.79/month).

Qualifications

• Hold a valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Hold a valid ADR qualification appropriate to the role.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an LGV Class 2 vehicle to collect and transport ADR/hazardous waste.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secured.
• Complete required documentation and comply with ADR and Health & Safety procedures.

Safely operate an LGV Class 2 vehicle to collect and transport ADR/hazardous waste, carry out daily vehicle checks, ensure loads are safely secured, complete all required documentation, and comply with ADR, Health & Safety and company procedures.

Requirements

• Hold a valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Hold a valid ADR qualification appropriate to the role.
• Previous ADR driving experience is highly desirable.
• Experience within the waste, recycling, environmental or hazardous waste industry would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of ADR regulations, vehicle safety and Health & Safety procedures.
• Able to safely load, transport and unload ADR/hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures.
