Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is recruiting a Claims Technician in Bridgend, Wales. The role is 35 hours per week, permanent, with hybrid working: 3 days in the office.

You will handle a caseload of Household and Commercial claims, settling claims and providing excellent customer service within an internal claims team. You will progress by handling notifications, communicating with brokers and clients, and resolving claims with increasing authority.

Qualifications

• Essential: experience in a claims team; strong written and verbal communication; able to meet deadlines; accurate data capture.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance claims, primarily property claims (household/commercial).
• Manage a caseload from start to finish with desktop organisation.
• Take claim notifications and settle claims; provide customer service.
• Communicate decisions clearly over the phone and in writing.
• Maintain accurate file reserves and ensure FCA compliant handling.
• Provide claims support and expertise for underwriting queries.
