Hastings Direct is hiring a Claims Product Owner to drive prioritisation and delivery for the Claims Transformation portfolio. You will work with the Claims Transformation Director and project teams to deliver fast-paced change that aligns with business goals.

Ideal candidates will have strong Agile experience, ability to document requirements, write acceptance criteria, and collaborate with stakeholders across technical and non-technical groups to ensure successful outcomes.

Role overview

As one of our Product Owners in Claims, you'll be accountable for ensuring that all prioritisation, user stories and delivery of change is delivered. This is a huge opportunity to be a key component in our Claims Transformation agenda with the opportunity to work closely with the Claims Transformation Director, Delivery/Transformation Leads and project teams to deliver a fast paced and ambitious portfolio of transformation initiatives.

Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in:

• Developing and maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders and business owners in order to ensure business requirements are gathered effectively, planned in good time and fully understood
• Ensuring all requirements are documented and communicated in accordance with approved methodology and ensuring that requirement and design documents are appropriately distributed, reviewed, discussed, modified and approved
• Creating and writing acceptance criteria for all user stories within your iteration and reviewing, updating and signing off test scripts for both in-track and regression testing, ensuring full coverage of user stories
• Responsibility for completion of full OAT testing and documentation providing full evidence to enable other product owners to make a decision on deployment
• Helping to prioritise the product backlog (with regard to business strategy, customer, colleague and commercial priorities) and planning the sprints, communicating the outcomes and progressing to the product owner and business owners where appropriate
• Building up expert knowledge of workings with Guidewire System within your portfolio of change

Essential skills/experience:

• Experience of working in Agile environments, with an excellent understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Experience of software and systems process design as well as documentation, development and maintenance
• Experience of working multiple projects simultaneously
• Working knowledge of Guidewire core platform
• Able to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with an ability to drill down into stakeholder requirements
