Our client, a collaborative and nurturing international firm, is looking for a Claims Handler to join their Professional Indemnity team in Bristol, handling high value and sensitive claims for clients across the UK, including solicitors, surveyors, accountants, brokers, engineers, architects, and their insurers. The role is based in Bristol but offers hybrid working, allowing remote work part of the week.
Your new role
You will be part of an established claims handling team managing professional indemnity claims against professionals on an outsourced basis. Working with the Head of Claims and team members, you will ensure the technical and efficient delivery of services, reviewing and investigating cover, assisting insured professionals, responding to claims, and reporting to insurers, including identifying and reporting potential issues.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have prior claims handling and/or litigation experience; insurance experience is advantageous but not essential. Candidates with a law degree, working towards ACII, CILEx, or equivalent, or significant claims experience with technical knowledge are encouraged to apply. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, motivation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential; experience with case management systems is a plus.
