Job summary

Aviva in Leeds is hiring a Claims Handler to support customers when they need us most, handling calls and guiding them through the claims journey. You’ll make liability decisions, set clear expectations, and deliver tailored solutions in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a starting salary of £28,600, with a 6% performance bonus, a generous pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private medical cover, and staff discounts. 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers in empathetic, professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive team member who learns quickly and contributes.
• Proficient IT skills including Outlook and Word for everyday tasks.
• Experience in customer service or contact centre is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls from customers and suppliers; resolve queries.
• Guide customers through the claims process and provide tailored solutions.
• Make liability decisions and set clear expectations; support customers to resolve claims.
• Own the full claims journey over time to improve outcomes.
