We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a Claims Handler to join our Birmingham team. You will play a vital role in delivering detailed and efficient claims service, managing a portfolio from start to finish to ensure the best outcomes.

The Role:

  • Handle commercial claims from start to finish, demonstrating expertise in policies, coverage, and procedures.
  • Evaluate and process claims accurately within timelines and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for timely resolution.
  • Analyze claims data, identify trends, and develop risk reduction strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Present reports and key performance indicators effectively.
  • Conduct on-site visits, investigate circumstances, and build robust claims.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, coverage types, and claims procedures.
  • Brokerage experience is essential.
  • Effective client relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of legal principles and regulatory frameworks.

Skills:

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
