We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join Marsh Commercial in our Claims team in Fradley. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement to work three days per week in the office.

The role: Trainee Claims Handler

Are you a dynamic problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges? Join our growing Goods in Transit Claims Team as a Trainee Claims Handler.

Our Team of Claims Advisors work for a multi-million-pound client and process Goods in Transit claims from start to settlement for all their 440 members in the UK and Europe. You will gain exposure to the commercial insurance industry and thrive on working collectively to deliver outstanding levels of service, whilst developing expertise within your field.

We will count on you to:

  • Negotiate with insurers, vendors, and customers to achieve beneficial and cost-effective settlements for our clients.
  • Review and interpret policy wordings to secure the best claims settlements.
  • Meet agreed standards of accuracy, service, work volumes, and performance targets in line with bespoke client SLAs.
  • Handle and case manage claims, contributing to the satisfactory resolution of complex and contentious issues.

What you need to have:

  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly absorb new technical information.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to resolve complex queries.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
