Job summary

The Abbey is seeking a proactive Claims Handler in the Abbey Hulton area. The role focuses on handling insurance claims, contacting customers by phone and email, and recording all relevant claim information.

You will work in a specialist claims team, manage multiple claims, validate details with policyholders, and complete administration to close claims. A basic salary of £24K-£26K with potential earnings up to £35K+ through performance.

Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Claims Handler to work for a well-established and successful claims handling business. The role involves working in a specialist claims handling team, focusing on a product category of customer claims. As the successful candidate, you will be fully trained, and your skills will develop in claims handling workflow and insurance practices.

Our client is looking for candidates with communication skills, drive, and attitude, and who can develop the rest. Your duties will involve:

• Working in a sector specialist call handling team dealing with insurance claims
• Receiving incoming calls and recording all relevant information on the insurance claim
• Managing multiple claims at different stages of completion
• Exploring the scope of the claim fully with the policyholder
• Completing all administration and follow-up actions to close outstanding claims
• Developing knowledge in a specialist sector to fully validate claims
