Job summary

Emerald Group in London seeks a proactive claims professional to support the Emerging Risks Claims Team. You will work with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and capacity providers to deliver exceptional service while navigating Treating Customers Fairly and Conduct Risk principles.

Key duties include managing claims from first notification to settlement, analysing coverage and quantum, reserving, and pursuing recoveries.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident grasp of insurance policy wordings across multiple territories.
• Experience with claims handling and customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure claims department delivers TPA services for capacity providers while upholding TCF and Conduct Risk principles.
• Proactively manage claims from first notification of loss to settlement, analysing coverage, legal liability, and quantum within delegated authorities.
• Build strong relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Guarantee prompt, accurate reserving, pursue third-party recoveries, and minimise claims leakage.
• Identify and escalate key issues to the Emerging Risks Claims Manager and Claims Director as needed.
• Support the Emerging Risks Claims Manager, Claims Director and wider claims team, collaborating with underwriters and providing feedback on trends and product development.
• ECF experience is a strong advantage.

• Guarantee prompt, accurate reserving, pursue third-party recoveries, and minimize claims leakage
• Identify and escalation key issues to the Emerging Risks Claims Manager and Claims Director as needed
• Support the Emerging Risks Claims Manager, Claims Director, and the wider claims team, collaborating closely with underwriters and providing valuable feedback on claims trends and product development
• CII qualification (or working towards it)
