Job summary

CFC in London is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster for the Emerging Risks team. You will guide clients through the claims process, lead fair settlements, and help set new service standards while collaborating across Claims, Underwriting, Finance, IT and Products.

You will bring a Lloyd’s/London market background, CII or progress toward it, and strong report writing. Excellent communication and knowledge of policy wordings across territories are essential.

Qualifications

• CII qualification (or working towards it).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong grasp of insurance policy wordings across territories.
• Experience with ECF is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure claims deliver outstanding TPA services for capacity providers, upholding Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk principles.
• Proactively manage claims from first notification to settlement, analysing coverage and liability.
• Build relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers—delivering a customer experience that sets us apart.
• Guarantee prompt, accurate reserving, pursue third-party recoveries, and minimise claims leakage.
• Identify and escalate issues to the Emerging Risks Claims Manager and Claims Director as needed.
• Support the Emerging Risks Claims Manager, Claims Director, and the wider claims team, collaborating closely with underwriters and providing feedback on claims trends and product development.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers receive the exceptional service we’re known for. About the role

As a Claims Adjuster at CFC, you’ll be the reassuring voice and steady hand guiding clients through the claims process. You’ll lead fair settlements, champion customer service, and help us set new standards for excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure our claims department continues to deliver outstanding TPA services for capacity providers, always upholding Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk principles.
• Proactively manage claims from first notification of loss to settlement, analysing coverage, legal liability, and quantum within delegated authorities.
• Build strong relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers—delivering a customer experience that sets us apart.
• Guarantee prompt, accurate reserving, pursue third‑party recoveries, and minimize claims leakage.
• Identify and escape key issues to the Emerging Risks Claims Manager and Claims Director as needed.
• Support the Emerging Risks Claims Manager, Claims Director, and the wider claims team, collaborating closely with underwriters and providing valuable feedback on claims trends and product development.
