Job summary

Sphere Solutions is recruiting an experienced Site Manager in Bridgend to take day-to-day responsibility for civils construction delivery. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, uphold HSE duties, and be the main client interface, reporting to the Contracts Manager.

A current SMSTS is non‑negotiable. You will oversee earthworks, drainage, foundations and above/below-ground works, maintaining programmes and ensuring works meet drawings and budget.

Qualifications

• Must hold current SMSTS certificate (in date).
• CSCS card at Manager or Professionally Qualified Person level or committed to obtain.
• Demonstrable experience as Site Manager, Site Agent or Senior Supervisor on civils/groundworks projects.
• Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and current construction health and safety legislation.
• Right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of civils works—earthworks, drainage, roads and pavements, foundations and below-ground services—per drawings, specs and programme.
• Develop and update short-interval programmes, look-ahead and resource schedules.
• Chair daily briefings and weekly progress meetings; coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with quality, inspection/test plans and hold points; maintain as-built records.
• Support commercial team with measurements, dayworks and valuations.
