300 North Limited is seeking an experienced Site Manager for civil engineering and remediation projects across Yorkshire and the Midlands. You will oversee site operations, manage labour, subcontractors, programmes, health and safety, and client communication.

The role requires 3–4 years of site management experience, SMSTS and CSCS, and a full UK driving licence. Travel between projects is expected; a company van and fuel card are provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Site Manager - Civil Engineering & Remediation

Up to £60,000 plus company van and fuel card

Permanent Yorkshire and Midlands

We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to deliver civil engineering, remediation, earthworks and enabling works projects across Yorkshire and the Midlands.

The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for site operations, managing labour, subcontractors, programme, health and safety, quality and client communication.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing the safe and efficient delivery of site activities.
• Coordinating direct labour, subcontractors, plant, materials and suppliers.
• Working closely with the Project Manager and technical team to meet programme requirements.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits, briefings and construction documentation.
• Leading site inductions, toolbox talks and daily activity briefings.
• Monitoring progress, productivity, quality and completed works.
• Ensuring work is delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Maintaining accurate site diaries, records, inspections and progress reports.
• Identifying programme, technical, environmental and health and safety risks.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Managing temporary works and ensuring the correct procedures are followed.
• Supporting project planning, look-ahead programmes and resource requirements.
• Ensuring sites remain compliant with company procedures and relevant legislation.
• Managing projects through completion, snagging and handover.

Required Experience

Applicants should have at least three to four years' experience in site management within one or more of the following areas:

• Civil engineering
• Remediation and contaminated land
• Earthworks and groundworks
• Ground engineering
• Demolition and enabling works
• Infrastructure and utilities
• Environmental construction

Candidates should also have:

• Experience managing construction sites and operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of site health and safety requirements.
• The ability to read drawings, specifications and programmes.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
• Good organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• The confidence to liaise directly with clients and project stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel between projects across Yorkshire and the Midlands.

A valid SMSTS and CSCS card are required. First Aid and Temporary Works qualifications would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join an established specialist contractor with a strong pipeline of civil engineering and remediation projects.

The position offers a salary of up to £60,000, together with a company van and fuel card. The final package will depend on experience.
