Job summary

Search Consultancy is seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager for an immediate start at a flood mitigation project in Pilling, Lancashire. You will oversee civils operations, coordinate subcontractors, inspect paving works, and ensure safety and quality across daily site activities.

The role requires managing tool box talks, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining strict PPE usage while delivering progress updates to project managers.

Qualifications

• Experience managing civils/site teams on flood mitigation or similar projects.
• Strong HSE leadership and toolbox talk delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

Job description

Search Consultancy are looking for an experienced Civils Site Manager for an immediate start in Pilling, Lancashire(PR3 postcode).

• 9-10 hours per day
• Free parking on siteDuties will include:

Assigns daily work to gangs etc, manage subcontractors, maintain productivity on site, conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks), ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and enforce health and safety regulations.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan, schedule, and execute work phases.

Coordinate delivery, storage, and usage of materials and tools etc.

Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets quality standards, specs, and building codes – ***lots of paving and kerb quality to be inspected and signed off***

Communicate daily progress, delays, and issues to project managers or engineers.

Daily dealings with members of the public and local business owners.

And all associated tasks as required.

Candidates will require:

• A valid Black CSCS card
• A valid SMSTS certificate
• A valid First Aid at Work certificate(1 or 3 day)
• A valid Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator certificate is highly advantageous
• Own PPE
• Own hand tools(preferred but not essential)
• The reletive flood mitigation site/project experience
• Chcekable references
• ***This position is for up to three months***
