You will manage site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and liaise with clients and authorities to ensure compliance and successful delivery of the programme.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and CSCS Card required.
• First Aid at Work certified.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects.
• Strong health, safety and environmental knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations on a district heating infrastructure project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, plant and materials.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule and to high quality.
• Manage programme delivery and report progress to senior management.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Oversee excavation, reinstatement and street works.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, utility providers and stakeholders.
• Manage permits, temporary traffic management and street works requirements.
• Monitor compliance with Temporary Works procedures and site documentation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a major District Heating Scheme in Worthing. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and highly competent Site Manager with a strong background in heavy civils and utility infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining compliance with all project and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations on a district heating infrastructure project.
• Coordinating subcontractors, direct labour, plant, and materials.
• Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
• Managing programme delivery and reporting progress to senior management.
• Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Overseeing excavation, reinstatement, and street works activities.
• Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout project delivery.
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, utility providers, and stakeholders.
• Managing permits, temporary traffic management, and street works requirements.
• Monitoring compliance with Temporary Works procedures and site documentation.
