Randstad Staffing is assisting a leading Tier 1 contractor in the West Midlands to appoint a Site Manager for major civils and highways projects. You will oversee field operations, manage direct labour and subcontractors, and ensure works progress to the master programme while maintaining safety and quality.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead daily site activities, enforce zero-harm safety standards, approve RAMS, sign off ITPs, and support NEC4 variation logging.

Salary: £55.000- 65.000
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking a Site Manager to oversee field operations on major civil infrastructure packages in the West Midlands. You will manage daily site activities, subcontractor performance, and safety compliance, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Site Management: Lead daily briefings, manage direct labour and sub-contractors, and ensure works adhere to the master programme.
HSEQ Lead: Enforce zero-harm safety standards, manage RAMS approvals, and conduct daily site inspections.
Quality & Engineering: Sign off Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and resolve technical queries with the engineering team.
Commercial & Reporting: Track daily resource outputs, manage shift logs, and assist with variation logging under NEC4 contracts.
Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Manager Card, and First Aid at Work (Essential).
Qualifications: HNC / BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Experience: 4+ years managing site operations on major UK infrastructure (£10m+ civils, highways, or utilities).
