Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Civils Quality Manager in Havant. The successful candidate will oversee quality assurance across heavy civil projects, including water/wastewater. Key responsibilities include producing Inspection and Test Plans and managing subcontractor testing.

Job description

Civils Quality Manager

Location: Havant

This role requires construction experience and knowledge of heavy civil projects and/or water/wastewater, and responsibility for quality assurance across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Producing, reviewing & issuing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
• Overseeing the approval process of all materials and products for the project
• Developing quality forms and checklists to facilitate the quality of all construction works
• Producing and issuing quality documents to the client
• Managing test results and issuing them to relevant parties
• Managing the materials testing subcontractors
• Liaising with designers, clients, client representatives and the construction engineer on all aspects of quality of works
• Reviewing designs as they develop from concept through to detail design
• Working with project management and engineering staff to improve the quality of work on site

Requirements

• Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction
• Knowledge of heavy civil projects and/or water/wastewater
• Joint venture project experience is advantageous
• Experience in lead quality assurance and ITP production
• Experience working with concrete works, civil and pipeline construction
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Hold a full driving licence
• Have a pro‑active approach to, and management of, non‑conformance issues
• Must be seeking a permanent role
