Civils Drainage Engineer

Yorkshire Water Contract - Lanes / SUS

We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!

We are currently recruiting for Civils Drainage Engineer to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives.

Due to a contract win, we are looking for applicants all around the Yorkshire Regions

Working Hours & Location

• Location: Rotherham

About the Role

As a Civils Drainage Engineer, you will:

1. Maintain great customer service and communication
2. Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
3. Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet
4. Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work
5. Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
6. Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
7. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
8. Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
9. Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
10. Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
11. Ensure on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
12. Wear and maintain in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bring to your supervisor's attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment
13. Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction
14. Install and maintain over-pumping systems
15. Maintain safe excavations with installation of ground support
16. Be able to read and understand Drainage plans
17. Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
18. Troubleshoot issues related to drainage systems and provide effective solutions

• CPC Driver Training (HGV only)

• Dumper Wheeled Forward Tipping
• EUSR Shuttering & Shoring - Deep Excavation

• NRSWA - Operative Units (LA,01-06)
• Sygma Solutions
• Confined Spaces
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Excavator used as Crane Lifting Operations

Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
