Plumbing & Drainage Engineer

Norfolk area

45 hour week

Salary - £35,000 minimum including on-call & overtime + benefits

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading drain clearance and maintenance service providers, operating through over 60 franchisees nationwide. We have decades of experience in unblocking drains, renowned for quality service and customer satisfaction. Major companies and high street brands trust us for drain maintenance, and we aim to deliver the same high standards to you.

Within Franchise Brands' Waste & Water Services Division, there are also Willow Pumps and Filta, focusing on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, these brands offer comprehensive water and waste management solutions.

Due to expansion, we are seeking Drainage Engineers for Metro Rod Norwich, a key East Anglia drain care and repair specialist. The company offers a 24/7 emergency service from South Norfolk, covering Norfolk and parts of Suffolk.

What does it entail?

We seek an experienced Drainage Engineer, ideally with plumbing experience. Your communication skills will ensure customers finish their experience satisfied and willing to recommend our services. You must be familiar with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and maintaining detailed documentation.

The role offers a minimum of £35,000, with 'out-of-hours' on-call shared among team members. Our engineers typically work 45 hours per week.

• Performing services related to cleaning, clearing, repairing, and maintaining drains
• Operating High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment safely
• Conducting surveys
• Providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately documenting work details using internal and client systems
• Communicating effectively with clients and support teams
• Participating in an on-call rota to support clients 24/7/365

• High-pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying qualifications or equivalent experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge
• Positive, flexible attitude

• Full UK driving license
