Civils Drainage Engineer
Yorkshire Water Contract – Lanes / SUS
We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!
We are currently recruiting for Civils Drainage Engineer to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives.#
Due to a contract win we are looking for applicants all around the Yorkshire Regions

About the Role
As a Civils Drainage Engineer, you will:
· Maintain great customer service and communication
· Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
· Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
· Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.
· Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
· Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
· Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
· Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
· Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
· Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
· Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
· Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
· Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction.
· Install and maintain over-pumping systems
· Maintain safe excavations with installation of ground support
· Be able to read and understand Drainage plans
· Recording photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
· Troubleshoot issues related to drainage systems and provide effective solutions
Experience and Qualifications:(Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
· Full UK driving license (Required)
· NPORS
· Banksman
· Manual Handling
· Emergency First Aid
· NRSWA
· EUSR National Water Hygiene
· Asbestos Awareness
· CPC Driver Training (HGV only)
· Slinger and Signaller
· Abrasive Wheels
· Calm Water
· EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny
· EUSR Water SHEA
· Face Fit Tested – FFP3
· Dumper Wheeled Forward Tipping
· EUSR Shuttering & Shoring – Deep Excavation
· Excavator Above10Ton – Tracked
· Excavator Below10Ton – Tracked
· NRSWA – Operative Units (LA,01-06)
· Sygma Solutions
· Confined Spaces
· SSSTS or SMSTS
· Excavator used as Crane Lifting Operations
Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
