Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking a Civils biased Design Manager for our client near Cardiff in South Wales. The role focuses on delivering a Water Framework project regionally, with responsibility for design and collaboration across pre-construction and project teams.

The successful candidate will be degree-educated in a civil/related engineering discipline, ideally chartered or working towards chartership with ICE, with site or design consultancy background, and a strong grasp of

Qualifications

Civil engineering background with a degree.
Chartered or working towards chartership with ICE.
Site experience or design consultancy background.
Degree or equivalent in related engineering subject.
Understanding commercial requirements of delivering complex multidisciplinary design and build projects.
Awareness of delivery risk.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team to lead the design and delivery of major projects within the region.
Engage with project teams and suppliers to challenge designers and seek value engineering solutions.
Ensure buildability is considered at all stages.
