Job summary

Amentum in the UK is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join our environmental and defence-focused teams. You'll apply your design skills across civil and structural projects, ensuring quality and compliance while coordinating with clients and other designers.

You will lead projects of varying size, develop design documents, and support improvements to safety and performance. Hybrid working across our UK office network is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in civil/structural design with influence over outcomes.
• Lead projects; manage scope, budget, programme and resources.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, with ability to work unsupervised.
• Knowledge of British Standards and CDM regs.
• Experience detailing reinforced concrete and structural steelwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality.
• Plan, deliver and manage financial performance of projects.
• Communicate with clients and design team members for input and justification.
• Provide technical guidance and development for junior designers.
• Develop and deliver design documents and solutions.
• Chair and facilitate design reviews and progress meetings.
• Work autonomously on complex engineering activities.
• Encourage compliance with business and quality management systems.
