Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to lead a CS&A team and deliver civil and structural engineering designs for complex projects across our UK office network. You will drive safety, compliance and project outcomes through strong technical leadership.

You will coordinate with Delivery Partners, develop deliverables, and ensure design outputs meet applicable standards and regulatory requirements across nuclear, infrastructure, and defence programmes.

Qualifications

Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes.
Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery.
Experience of working within a regulated and quality-assured system.

Responsibilities

Leading a team of CS&A engineers and architects in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional works that achieves safety, functional and business requirements.
Delivery of the civil, structural Engineering Design, including reinforced concrete structures, plated steel structures, maritime structures and specialized Nuclear facilities.
Manage the interface to and between key Delivery Partners and the design team.
Develop deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, etc.).
