Job summary

Impression Recruitment Ltd. in Pontefract is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy. You will work on a varied portfolio across residential, commercial and industrial sectors, taking increasing responsibility as you develop your technical expertise.

After probation, a hybrid working pattern is available. The role requires at least 2 years' civil/structural experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and solid knowledge of UK design standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of civil or structural engineering experience.
• Degree: BSc or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Working knowledge of UK design codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and professional project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and calculations across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Support site inspections, surveys and structural assessments.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to design development from concept to completion.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy across project work.
