Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is expanding its Civil & Structural Engineering team within the Energy Transmission & Distribution sector. You will contribute to significant UK electricity infrastructure projects, delivering civil and structural design from feasibility through to construction support in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of civil/structural engineering principles.
• Experience in Energy, Power, Utilities or Infrastructure sectors.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or pursuing chartership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and structural design services across major Energy T&D projects.
• Design reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel, buildings and site infrastructure.
• Support or lead design of substations and HVDC converter stations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and produce technical reports/drawings.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards and Safety in Design.
• Mentor graduates and early-career engineers; contribute to business development.
