Job summary

Turner Lovell is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering major electricity transmission infrastructure across the UK. You will own civil/structural design packages for substations and HVDC projects and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, procurement and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Strong civil/structural design experience in a consultancy or design environment.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary infrastructure projects (substations/HVDC).
• Experience using structural design software such as Tedds, STAAD.Pro, MasterSeries.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of civil and structural design packages for major substation and HVDC projects.
• Provide design governance and review work from internal engineers and external consultants.
• Develop scopes, Scope of Works documents and design tender packages.
• Manage design deliverables, interfaces, programme and technical requirements.
• Support procurement and construction teams with technical input.
• Review designs for compliance with standards, CDM and Building Regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction and site visits as needed.
