Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Civil Site Supervisor for a principal contractor in Kent, with responsibility for coordinating civil works, health and safety, and environmental compliance from the Sittingbourne HQ and other SE England locations.

The role requires proven supervision experience, strong leadership, and current CSCS/SMSTS qualifications, plus a full UK driving licence. Salary is 40–45k per annum, full-time on-site work.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising civil works including RC structures, drainage, highways, and earthworks.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Mandatory certifications listed above: SMSTS, CSCS Supervisor Gold, First Aid, Temporary Works Supervisor, Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site-based civil engineering activities and supervise labour and subcontractors.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and environmental responsibilities.
• Maintain records, manage testing/inspection, and use Eque 2 for materials logging.
• Coordinate resource availability and project timelines; resolve on-site issues.
